President Vonheeder-Leopold began her service at the District with an appointment in January 1992 to fill a vacancy and was subsequently elected, reelected, and reappointed to the Board multiple times. She has been active in public service for over 40 years. She is currently President of the California Association of Sanitation Agencies, Vice President for the Alameda County Chapter of the California Special Districts Association. and is the special district alternate member of the Alameda Local Agency Formation Commission. She was a member of the Dublin City Council from 1984 to 1990, served on various city and county commissions as well as a host of nonprofit boards, and was the City's historian from 2008 through 2020.
President Vonheeder-Leopold has lived in Dublin since 1971 and retired from a 45-year career in tax accounting.
