New Water Mains for Wineberry & Canterbury Neighborhoods

DSRSD recently completed a project to address aging water pipelines for customers in the Wineberry Way andAging water pipes replaced in Wineberry and Canterbury neighborhoods Canterbury Lane neighborhoods in western Dublin. The aging cement water pipes, originally installed in the 1960s, were replaced with new PVC pipes that are more resistant to corrosion.

The $5.2 million project also replaced 329 water meters and service lateral pipes running from the water main to water meters at each property on the project (175 in the Wineberry neighborhood and 154 in the Canterbury neighborhood). Additionally, the project included the installation of new fire hydrants, valves, and accessory attachments. Approximately 3,800 feet of existing cement pipe was replaced with new PVC pipe within the Wineberry area neighborhood streets, and approximately 6,500 feet of existing cement pipe was replaced with new PVC pipe within the Canterbury area neighborhood streets. In total, approximately 11,250 linear feet—just over 2 miles—of pipeline were replaced.
