Citizens Water Academy
What is the Citizens Water Academy?
The Citizens Water Academy is a free program offered every two years to educate the District’s customers on water, recycled water, wastewater issues, the organization, and the Board of Directors. Topics that are covered include:
- Critical issues on water
- Building a more resilient water supply, adapting to a changing environment, and investing in vital infrastructure
- District operations and finances
- What it's like to serve on the DSRSD Board of Directors (map with election divisions and dates)
The program is open to any current DSRSD water or sewer customers. DSRSD provides service to all of Dublin and certain areas of San Ramon. (San Ramon residents: please check your address on the DSRSD service area map to confirm you are a customer).
Anyone interested in running for a seat on the DSRSD Board of Directors is especially encouraged to attend. Participants must be at least 18 years of age.
The 2024 Citizens Water Academy took place on April 17, May 22, and June 20 from 6- 8:30 p.m. The next Academy will be held in spring 2026.
