Miscellaneous Fees
The District charges fees for specific miscellaneous services (e.g., late payment fees, plan review fees, grease trap inspections) provided to some customers. Charging fees for customer-specific services enables the District to keep regular and recurring rates for all customers reflective of the cost of service.
The current fee schedules linked below are effective on July 1, 2024, and reflect changes based on the Consumer Price Index. The District periodically evaluates miscellaneous fees to ensure each one covers the cost of providing the service, and the Board of Directors conducts a public hearing before adopting new fees. The District Code sections listed in the tables linked below provide more information on the regulations that establish these fees.
On January 1, 2025, these fees and charges shall be automatically adjusted in the manner described in the remainder of this subparagraph without further Board action of review. The General Manager is authorized to adjust these fees and charges on January 1, 2025 and each succeeding calendar year through January 1, 2027, by the percentage by which the most recent CPI (Consumer Price Index - all urban wage earners, not seasonally adjusted, San Francisco-Oakland-Hayward, CA, current, all item series) as of October 31 has increased in relation to the most recent corresponding CPI as of the preceding October 31. The General Manager shall post the new fees and charges on the District's website by December 31st of each calendar year.
